I learnt a number of new tricks putting together a recent comet Garradd animation and I applied these to the old comet Lulin data – big improvement! The reason the comet’s tail disappears after the satellite crosses the screen is because at this point up came the thin high cloud – typical. Still – I was extremely lucky to get Lulin at all with the weather we had at that time and this was just a 5-hour break between rainstorms that allowed me to get Lulin at all. Enjoy 🙂
